21 gardaí in the Cavan/Monaghan Garda Division have been assaulted so far this year.
That's according to a search of the PULSE database that was conducted on the 4th of October.
There were 30 assaults on gardaí in Cavan/Monaghan last year, and 34 in 2019.

Justice Minister, Heather Humphreys, said she is "deeply conscious of the risks encountered" by gardaí and added that "all assaults are a blatant disregard for the safety of the brave people who risk their lives in the service of the State".
