As Heritage week 2023 gets underway, Cavan has certainly not been left wanting with a total of 45 events planned throughout the week.
The large number of events are spread across the county as the national event is celebrated in the county.
The theme for this year is ‘Living Heritage’ – the practices, knowledge and skills that have been passed from one generation to the next and are still in use today.
Cavan Heritage officer Ann Marie Ward says she is delighted how communities have embraced the annual event this year.
There is events for all ages & interests across the region with the likes of - kids events, guided tours, nature walks, historic walks, artefact displays, history talks, family history, sites and monuments tours and much more.
Ann Marie says there is certainly something for everyone and it gives people a chance to explore their heritage
