5 drivers caught speeding in Cavan

Five drivers in Cavan were detected driving at excess speed on the N3 yesterday morning. Gardaí were on the N3 at Lisgrea, Virginia between the hours of 5am and 7am. The aim of the early morning operation was to detect speeding and illegal overtaking. One driver was clocked driving at 139km p/hr and others at 137 and 133 km p/hr. According to Cavan Garda Roads Policing Unit a number of detections were made and fixed charge penalty notices issued to offenders.
