There have been 9,117 burglary incidents nationally during the same period with a 8% decrease on a national level.

According to An Garda Síochána reports for national incidents, 26% of burglars enter homes through the back door, 24% via back windows and 8% through front windows, with 1 in 5 cases involving a burglar gaining access through an unsecure door or window. Marguerite Cotter Commercial Marketing Director at Phone watch Ireland says maintaining vigilance is always important even with this welcome news that break ins are on the decrease.
