Over 7,800 people in the Northern Sound region were paid PUP money they might not have been expecting this morning.
4,464 people in Cavan and 3,773 people in Monaghan received the payments this morning, worth a combined €3.83 million (€3,823,387).
It comes ahead of the Christmas bonus being paid to welfare recipients next week.
