An 88 year old Cavan man says he's furious with how armed gardai burst into his home to carry out a search last weekend.
Former New York City, police officer Jude McGovern says he had his gun de-commissioned when he retired, and brought it back to Cavan.
Gardai have confirmed officers conducted a search in Swanlinbar and seized a suspected unlicensed firearm there.
