A review into the effectiveness Bord Bia, has found that the majority of board members are positive about Chairperson, Larry Murrin's performance.
The review was commissioned after the IFA staged a rolling protest at the Bord Bia HQ.
The protest was sparked by a revelation that Mr. Murrin's company Dawn Farm Foods imported a small proportion of Brazilian beef.
Editor of the Irish Farmers Journal, Adam Woods, said that it went down really poorly with farmers, because Bord Bia should be held to high standards, and a high account.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, the Co. Cavan farmer explained how the review operated.
He said that while the headline of the report is positive, there is still a lot of issues.
Mr. Woods said: "The headline in the report is that there is confidence in the chair, but when you delve into it - there are a lot of issues.
"There is 22 recommendations that have come out of this review for Bord Bia. Including enhancing stakeholder engagement.
"Farmers feel Bord Bia has become an organisation for industry, not communicating with farmers," he added.
