Adult learning opportunities will come to Cavan and Monaghan next week.

The AONTAS Adult Learners Festival is set to make a triumphant return from Monday, March 4th to the 8th, bringing a wave of excitement to promote Adult Learning nationwide. This annual festival, dedicated to celebrating adult and community education, and make learning accessible to everyone, will feature a myriad of events taking place across the country. Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) is thrilled to be a part of this celebration, offering an array of FREE taster classes throughout counties Cavan and Monaghan.

Eithne O'Callaghan is an adult guidance councillor. Speaking to Northern Sound, Eithne said that this is a great opportunity for people to try something they never have before. She added that there will also be an opportunity to meet with the CMETB Guidance and Information team who can offer support to adults who are considering a return to education or training. During the week CMETB Adult Education Service will deliver a number of free sessions including Gardening, Historical Walks, Smartphone workshops, Interior Design, Photography, Skincare and much more.
