An Annyalla student has won the Council's Air Quality-themed School Poster Competition.
The initiative, organised by the Environmental Services section, invited pupils from across the county to creatively explore the importance of clean air and the impact of pollution on local communities
Aria, a fifth class student from Annyalla National School was named as the winner.
Environmental services staff visited the school to present Aria with her award, a Q&A also took place to give the children an opportunity to learn more about air quality.
As part of the campaign, the winning design was also displayed on a billboard in Monaghan Town to help encourage greater awareness of the role we all play in keeping our air clean.
Monaghan County Council says it extends congratulations to Aria on her achievement and acknowledges the commitment of all participating schools in helping to raise awareness about air quality and environmental protection.
