Gardai in Cavan are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward after a number of burglaries were committed across the county during the month of March.

Super Valu in Bailieborough was robbed on the 3rd of March last between the hours of 1:15am and 2:15am.

The culprits damaged the building to gain entry but were disturbed and subsequently fled the scene.

Half an hour later, between 2:45 and 3am a burglary occurred at the Wishing Well public house in Kingscourt.

The front door was damaged and a substantial sum of money was taken during the incident.

And, between the hours of 3am and 8am on the same date, a premises along Stradone Street in Ballyjamesduff was robbed .

A sum of cash was stolen during the burglary.

Gardai are interested in speaking to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in these areas at the time of the incidents.

"Gardai would like your help in solving a number of crimes that happened in Cavan throughout March," a garda spokesperson added.
