Appeal issued over 30 stolen cattle in Co Monaghan

Local Gardai are also appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage that could assist in their enquiries.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the theft of up to 30 cattle from a shed between Carrickmacross and Castleblayney in Co Monaghan.

The theft of the animals happened between Tuesday, the 30th and Wednesday, the 31st of January last from a farm in the Cullentraghbane area of Lisdoonan. The theft of the animals have "caused significant loss to the farmer" in question.

Gardaí in Carrickmacross are appealing for the public's assistance in the case. Detectives want people to cast their minds back to the dates in question and think if they saw anything suspicious in the area, in particular the movement of cattle around Lisdoonan. Local Gardai are also appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage that could assist in their enquiries, to make it available to them.
