Arva Agriculture Show back and better than before

While the event will clash with the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final, Mr Cully revealed to Northern Sound that a large outdoor TV screen will be provided on the day, so people "won't miss out."

Additional funding under the Agricultural Shows support programme has been described as a "welcomed boost" to local regions Cavan and Monaghan.

Agricultural shows in Arva and Virginia, alongside Tydavnet and Castleblayney will receive funding between  5,000 and  6,000.

Brian Cully, Secretary of the Arva Show committee says the group are "thankful" for the funding, during a time when many organisations are feeling the financial pinch of rising costs.

The popular Arva Agricultural Show will return later this month on Sunday, July 24th, for the first time since the pandemic, and is expected to be bigger and better than ever before, according to Brian.

Speaking to Northern Sound, the Cavan man says a lot of work has went on behind the scenes and that there will be something different for "everyone to enjoy" on the day:
