Eileen Clarke of Bailieboro Shamrocks GAA has been announced as Ulster's runner-up of Eirgrid's GAA Community Heroes Campaign.
Now in its second year, the campaign recognises the role GAA volunteers play in enriching and sustaining communities around the country.
Over the course of four weeks, EirGrid received almost 80 entries nominating Community Heroes.
A winner and runner-up have been chosen from Ulster, Connacht, Leinster and Munster.
The winners' clubs will each receive €5,000 and the runners-up's clubs will each receive €1,500.
Eileen who first got involved with the club back in 2019 has been described as someone who embodies the spirit of community and volunteerism that the award seeks to recognise.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Eileen has encouraged people to give what they can when it comes to volunteering for your local GAA club.
