Ballybay-Clones has the highest incidence rate of Covid in the country

The Ballybay-Clones LEA is ranking highest in the country today.

Ballybay Clones has the highest incidence rate of Covid 19 in the country this morning with Monaghan LEA in 3rd and Bailieborough Cootehill in 5th.

The Granard LEA has twice the national incidence rate, with 107 cases in the last two weeks, it's rate now stands at 1002.4

The national average incidence rate of Covid 19 now stands at 523 and with 382 cases of Covid 19 in the last two weeks to Monday, the Ballybay Clones Local electoral area has the highest incidence rate of the virus in the country, four times more than the national average at 2,213 per 100,000 of population.

Monaghan's LEA rate is next in the region, at 1603, this is down to 364 new cases of Covid 19 in the area.

the Carrickamcross -Castleblayney LEA has a current 14-Day Incidence Rate of 923.

The total number of confirmed cases in the LEA over the 14-Day period was 198

With 377 new cases of Covid 19 in the last two weeks, the Bailieborough-Cootehill LEA has the highest rate in the county, at 1,544 per 100k of the population.

Over to Cavan Belturbet LEA with 242 new cases, it's rate stands at 932 and there were 188 Covid 19 cases in the BALLYJAMESDUFF LEA- in the two weeks to Monday, there now an incidence rate of 728.6 per 100k of the population.

The total number of confirmed cases in the LEA over the 14-Day period was 188.

In the Shannonside region, the Granard LEA has twice the national incidence rate, with 107 cases in the last two weeks, it's rate now stands at 1002.4

There's been 187 cases in Boyle's LEA and its incidence rate is 856.6.

The Roscommon LEA is next at 712, there were 162 new cases of Covid 19 in the area in the last two weeks, and with 86 new cases Longford's LEA stands at 536.

The Ballymahon LEA has had 53 Covid cases in the last two weeks to Monday, bringing its incidence rate to 367.

With 54 cases, Carrick on Shannon's rate is under the national average at 475 and just 22 cases in Ballinamore sees the area stand at 334.

Covid 19 seems to have eased somewhat in the Athlone Local electoral area, it's had 56 cases in the last two weeks to Monday, making it's incidence 280 cases per 100,000 of population.
