Bishop of Clogher visits McCann family home in Clones

The best friends will be laid to rest this afternoon.

The Bishop of Clogher, Larry Duffy has visited the home of the McCann family in Clones who will today bury their much-loved daughter Kiea. The 17-year-old Largy College student died alongside her best friend Dlava Mohamed after the car they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree at Legnakelly on Monday night.

An 18-year-old girl believed to be Dlava's sister, and a 60-year-old man were seriously injured while an 18-year-old boy is being treated for non life threatening injuries. The youngsters were being driven to the school debs in Monaghan town when tragedy struck at 6:45pm.

Kiea's Funeral Mass takes place at 2pm today in the Sacred Heart Chapel in Clones while Dlava will be laid to rest in Newcastle Muslim Cemetery, Dublin after Funeral Service at the Clonskeagh Mosque & Culture Centre.
