The second edition of the Border Biennale at Townhall Arts Centre Cavan officially opens at 3pm today.
The exhibition is co-curated by internationally renowned artist Rita Duffy who is based in Ballyconnell and Townhall Artist Liaison, Joe Keenan.
This exhibition brings together national and international artists to explore the absurdities and realities of borders; political, cultural, and psychological.
With works addressing themes from migration and identity to climate and conflict, the Biennale continues to grow in ambition and impact.
Border Biennale will run from today until the 30th of August.

Spanning the borderlands of Cavan and Fermanagh, The Border Biennale 2025 is a landmark arts programme celebrating place, identity, and creative resilience.
This year's exhibition features powerful and thought-provoking work by: Miriam de Búrca (Berlin-born, Ireland-based) Pascal Ungerer (Cork) Sally O'Dowd (Breffni-born, Belfast-based) and Rita Duffy (Belfast-born, Ballyconnell-based).
