A road in West Cavan is closed following the collapse of a bridge.
Cavan County Council is currently assessing the damage to Mullaghboy Bridge on the L-1012-0 at Gowlan in Blacklion.
The damage is significant, with pictures of the area indicating the hole could be up to 10 foot in dept.

The collapse of the road was caused by the recent exceptional rainfall event.
Yesterday, it was reported that a months worth of rain fell in just one day, as parts of the east and the north were battered with heavy showers.
Carlow Weather's Alan O’Reilly said some weather stations around the country measured over 50 millimetres of rain in 24 hours.
In a statement issued to Northern Sound today, Cavan County Council say that the bridge repair is being given priority.
There is currently no confirmed date for reopening of the bridge.
