Calls for testing kits in nightclubs to clamp down on drink spiking

There are calls for testing kits to be rolled out in nightclubs to clamp down on drink spiking.

There have been dozens of drink and injection spiking incidents reported across the country recently.

Ógra Fianna Fail has written to the Health Minister, urging him to roll out an awareness campaign on how to help someone who has been spiked and to distribute testing kits than can be used on suspicious drinks.

Cathaoirleach of Monaghan Ógra Fianna Fail Méabh Cusack says it's unfortunate that these measures are needed to ensure people can have a safe night out.
