The chairperson of Cavan Autism Parents Support has thanked everyone involved for their support in raising money for the restoration of the Sensory Garden in Ballyjamesduff after it was recently vandalised.

Bernie Nelson paid special tribute to Kieran Brennan from the Bad Examples Motorcycle Club in Monaghan, which held their annual Santa Run over the weekend to raise funds to restore the garden.

Bernie says the sensory garden had been a "dream for years" and she was devastated to receive a phone call to inform her that significant damage had been caused by vandals.

She told Shannonside Northern Sound that CAPS has received incredible support from the local community since the incident:
