Car fire in Cavan described as criminal damage incident

Gardaí in Cavan are investigating what's been described as a case of 'criminal damage' after a car was set alight in Cavan Town last week.

Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene where car was found a blaze last Thursday the 11th of April at approximately 1am. It's understood that car was parked on the upper level within the Newcourt multi-level car parking complex in the town.

Local Gardai say no injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made to date. Gardai say their Investigations are ongoing into the early morning incident.
