A Carrickmacross councillor has asked for signage to be erected in the town as a tribute to the local Lions Club.

Colm Carthy says the Carrickmacross Lions has done "Trojan work" over the years and have supported many good causes within the town.

He says the signage would also allow people to know that there is an active Lions Club within the town and raise awareness about the organisation.
