Cassidy's XL Service Station in Carrickmacross were among an elite group of retailers from around the country who have been honoured for their outstanding commitment to their local communities at the annual XL Retailer Awards celebration, held in The Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone recently.
The prestigious awards ceremony made a welcome return this year for the first time since the Covid pandemic and recognised outstanding retail practice across the XL Retail Group nationwide.
The popular Monaghan business was presented with the 'Best Coffee Offering' award on the night, having scooped-up the award for 'Store of the Year' back in 2019 prior to the Covid pandemic.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Anita Cassidy revealed that the business decided to "invest" in order to provide customers with a new coffee experience.
According to Anita, since the Barista opened in March 2021, the business has gone from strength to strength:
"We are now able to offer our customer a wide variety of coffee offerings, which would include alternatives. Our new Immunity range and standard classic range. So it has been very, very productive for us."
