Castleblayney born writers says reading offers an escape

A Castleblayney born writer says that reading a book can offer people a break during busy periods of their lives.

Stephanie O'Reilly was born in Castleblayney and now live in North Kerry.

Last year, Stephanie was one of 12 writers shortlisted for the prestigious International Debut Novel Competition 2025.

As a result of this she was given the opportunity to pitch her idea to a number of different agents and publishers.

Speaking to Northern Sound Stephanie outlined the joy of reading and the escape it can offer for people during the winter season.
