Gardai in Castleblayney were on patrol in the early hours of yesterday morning when they came upon a single vehicle road traffic collision.
Following further investigations, the driver of the car failed a roadside drug test after testing positive for cannabis.
He was subsequently arrested and processed with drug driving.

Meanwhile, a search of the vehicle unearthed a quantity of cannabis.
A follow up search under warrant was conducted at a premises and another quantity of cannabis was recovered.
Two males were detained and questioned in relation to the seizures.

A file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and Garda investigations are ongoing.
