Cavan and Monaghan exam students first in Ireland to prepare for new Polish Leaving Cert

It was first introduced as a six-week TY module, and 17 Leaving Cert students in local schools will sit the exam in June 2023.

Exam students in Cavan and Monaghan are the first students in Ireland to prepare for a new Polish Leaving Cert.

The course is delivered through a blended model of online, in-person and self-directed learning at four CMETB schools.

It was first introduced as a six-week TY module, and 17 Leaving Cert students in local schools will sit the exam in June 2023.

Education Minister Norma Foley has welcomed the project, with Aleksandra, one of the students sitting the exam saying every Polish student should get the chance to do their heritage language for the Leaving Cert.
