A Co Cavan auctioneer says he's receiving up to 100 applications for rental properties in the county.
Raymond Smith from Smith Auctioneers says applications are being filtered due to the demand and volume of requests for properties.
He says the reality is that the ratio is 100:1 in relation to any property that comes to let through his offices.
Raymond said unfortunately there are a lot of people left searching for a home that will have to keep on applying.
