Parents of children with additional needs in Cavan and Monaghan feel disadvantaged because of the lack of services there is available for their children.
A protest highlighting the lack of disability services in Cavan took place outside Cavan Courthouse.
The seventh such protest in the last year to take place which was organised by local parents who say they have received little to no support for their children with additional needs.

One parent said it was unfair that children from both counties who have complex needs and disabilities were being let down by the Government.
Rachel Kearns, a parent of two children that are trying to access services in the county for a number of years says it’s so unfair.
She said when we know how important early intervention is and her two boys has got none.
Rachel said there are so many parents like her and it just can’t keep going on like this.
