A Cavan boy has been shortlisted for a national art prize.
Five year old Adam Wiercioch Chinatamunnee was nominated for the Zurich Young Portrait Prize at the National Gallery of Ireland.
20 artists between five and 18 made it onto the shortlist.

Adam's portrait, titled 'My Father' will be displayed in the National Gallery from November to April.
The winner will receive a cash prize of 15,000, with prizes also for the highly commended works.
