A Cavan bus operator says he's at the mercy of Dublin companies deciding to return to the office.

A survey from the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland found 84 per cent bus companies haven't recovered post-pandemic.

Students returning to college has provided a boost, but Brian Rowe from Sillan Tours in Shercock says they're transporting more than 800 fewer people daily than September 2019.

Meanwhile, it's suggested that it could be 2024 before coach tours return to pre-Covid levels.

Brian Rowe says their businesses for the next few months will depend on how many people make a move back to the office.
