A Cavan mechatronic engineering company has gone from strength to strength since its inception back in 2022. At the helm of Nuálach Automation's success is Virginia native Kealan O'Connell, alongside his business partner Evan Roarke who hails from Mullingar.
The local engineering business recently added to its already established success, after it was crowned the regional winner for the North East at the 2023 National Enterprise Awards.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Kealan said the overall aim of the business is to maximise output for customers.
He added that growing a business at home has gave him the opportunity to work with the local enterprise office in Cavan and developing businesses.
"It's fantastic having the foundations of our business in Cavan," explained Kealan. "More importantly it has given me the opportunity to spend some time in the local enterprise office in Cavan, and to see all of the other great businesses that other Cavan people are working in and developing. Being involved with the local community and local enterprise office has given me the opportunity to see a lot of what is going on, there's a lot of work is being done in the background in Cavan that is aiding us and many more companies to grow and progress."
