A Cavan chef is urging others to secure their property after a theft at his house.
At around 5.30 on Tuesday morning, a man walked onto Gearóid Lynch's property in Cloverhill and took a set of keys, a quantity of cash and iPods from an unlocked jeep before stealing a child's bike.
CCTV footage showed the man leave after 20 minutes, cycling off on the bicycle in the Butlersbridge direction.

Lynch shared details of the event on social media in an appeal for information and to warn others in the area to not leave valuables unlocked or accessible.
Gardaí in Cavan are investigating, with Gearóid saying it would have been a very recognisable getaway.
