Cavan comedian says laughter is the best medicine

Laughter is the best medicine according to a Co Cavan comedian.

Crosserlough native, Darren Gaffney says the job of making people laugh can come with its pressures but very rewarding.

The local man operates a number of comedy clubs in Dublin and Cavan Town.

Darren says being a comedian might not be a regular profession and it may be very niche.

He says his friends told him he should give it a go and even though he admits making people laugh while on stage is very different than making your friends laugh, he wouldn't change it for anything.

Darren says entertaining Cavan people and making them laugh is great craic.
