Greenburgh Fire and Emergency Medical Services were unable to extract the victim, and 21 year old Paul Fitzpatrick from Yonkers was pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial investigation found that Fitzpatrick was northbound on the Sprain Parkway in a Jeep Wrangler when he veered from his lane and sideswiped a passing Toyota.

The jeep lost control, overturned several times before striking a tree which caused a vehicle fire.
