A Cavan Councillor has become the Vice-President of the Fine Gael Executive Council.

Cavan-Belturbet councilor Madeleine Argue was appointed to the position by the party's Executive Council following a recent meeting.

She joins former Minister and current Carlow/Kilkenny T.D. John Paul Phelan, who is the other Vice-President and will hold the position until the next Árd Fheis succeeding Gerry O'Connell in the position.
