A Cavan councillor has called for a new Local Link service to be established in Bailieborough.
Sarah O'Reilly says she originally requested for Bus Eireann to offer a direct bus route from Bailieborough to Dublin, however this was not deemed viable.
Following this, Councillor O'Reilly is now seeking a direct route from Bailieborough to Virginia, which would then allow passengers to travel on to Dublin or Cavan Town.

The Aontú councillor says east Cavan is "badly serviced" by Bus Eireann and a new Bailieborough local link route would be a great benefit for the town:
