A local councillor has raised concerns over the rollout of bus shelters across County Cavan.
It’s understood the council has received €1.5 million in funding over the past three years, but only a limited number of shelters have been installed so far.
New shelters are now planned for Ballyhaise, Shercock and Kingscourt later this year, which has been welcomed by Cllr Adrian Rogers and CllrStiofan Conaty.
However, concerns remain for areas like Bailieborough and Cootehill, where passengers are still left waiting in poor weather conditions.
Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr Adrian Rogers, says improved shelter is essential, particularly as more people, especially older residents, rely on public transport services.
