Cavan County Council is to examine how traffic congestion can be reduced at the “Tractamotors junction”.
At the most recent Cavan-Belturbet MD meeting, it was raised that the current layout is causing tailbacks on the Ballinagh side as motorists try to merge with other town traffic.
A number of solutions such as realignment, widening or roundabouts are being considered as ways to ease delays on the approach.

Councillor John Paul Feeley said traffic lights would be the easiest way to manage the crossing.
