Cavan County Council has extended a vote of sympathy to the late Lady Farnham.
Diana Maxwell passed away at the age of 90 on the 29th of December late, and had close ties to Cavan as the wife of the 12th Baron Farnham, Barry Maxwell.
Lady Farnham personally donated money towards the restoration of local artwork and artefacts in the Cavan County Museum.
Winston Bennett proposed the vote of sympathy and told a recent Council meeting that she was "greatly impressed by the on-going peace and reconciliation work carried out by the museum".
Elsewhere, Councillor John Paul Feeley proposed a vote of sympathy for the late Kathleen Richie and praised Kathleen for her commitment to water safety in the region.
He said Kathleen had been involved in "every positive initiative during her time living in Blacklion".
