An annual lecture hosted in Cavan County Museum is to take place this week. The annual Arthur Griffith Lecture Series will take place this Wednesday at 7:30pm. This year's guest speaker is former MEP and European Commissioner Mairead McGuinness and the theme of the lecture is titled; Ireland's Place in Europe - The Future?
Dermot McConagle who has been involved in organising this annual talk said people look forward to attending this event each year. Dermot described the event as an "informative and sociable" evening with a lively question and answer session planned to help people engage in the conversation. Speaking to Northern Sound, he said it will be "interesting" to hear the views of Mairead McGuinness in relation to Europe and the future:
