A Cavan dentist says the problems with the Dental Treatment Services Scheme have "doubled", as the number of dentists participating in the scheme falls.
The number of private dentists participating in the DTSS, which provides dental services to medical card holders, has dropped by 16% over the past ten months.
Joanne O'Riordan, of Church Street Dental Surgery in Cavan, says the scheme is "out-dated" and added that the covid-19 pandemic has left dentists "struggling to cope".
