Cavan drug driver before the courts today

Cavan Roads Policing Unit on patrol yesterday carried out Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoints for both alcohol and drugs.

As a result, they encountered one motorist who failed a roadside drugs test. The driver in question was arrested and brought to Cavan Station where officers took blood samples.

As it transpired, this driver was already disqualified from driving. This driver was detained in custody and will now appear before the courts this morning.
