A Cavan family has been chosen as Farming for Nature Ambassadors for 2020.
The Shackleton family of Daphne, Jane and Jonathan from Mullagh, were 1 of 8 selected for the third year of the programme, which aims to celebrate farmers who manage their land in a way that sustains nature.
The family farm 320 acres providing organic grass-fed beef and lamb to customers and also maintain 5 hectares of semi-natural habitats including bogs, wetland and stonewalls.

There is a publicly assessable nature walk passing through the farm and the Shackletons say they are fully committed to their approach and enthusiastic to share their experience online.
