A Cavan man who celebrated his 80th birthday with a nearly 20 kilometre charity cycle has raised over €3,000 for a local special educational needs school.
Greg O'Reilly undertook the fundraiser on his vintage 1960s bike in aid of Holy Family Special School Cootehill, where his grandson is a pupil.
Greg undertook a similar cycle in aid of Virginia Cancer Fund last year.

He told Northern Sound that he's delighted to raise funds for a school that does "trojan work".
Greg recently presented a cheque for €3,315 to Holy Family School's principal, Rachel Moynagh.
