A Co Cavan music organisation is one of 24 nationwide to share in a €100,000 Non-Mainstream Music Education Bursary Scheme.
The scheme provides small cash grants to support music education and music initiatives to cultivate the talents of young musicians.
Education Minister Norma Foley TD announced this week that Accora Orchestra in Co Cavan is to receive a grant of €4,000.

Accora Orchestra holds classes each week in St. Killian's National School, Mullagh.
Minister Foley said "music is in our DNA" and added that she hopes "these grants can enable community organisations to continue providing music tuition and classes for the remainder of the year".
