A Senator, who is a Cavan native, is expressing her belief Maria Steen will get on the presidential election ballot.
Sharon Keogan says the support she has seen for Steen has been overwhelming.
Currently there are only three confirmed names on the ballot, Heather Humphreys, Jim Gavin and Catherine Connolly.

As it stands Steen is still seeking more support to reach the 20 Oireachtas nominations needed to contest the election.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Senator Keogan said she believes Steen will secure the support.
