A popular shop in Cavan Town has been shortlisted in the Retail Excellence Awards 2025.
Connolly Brothers was established in Cavan Town in 1923, and has been a favourite among locals for over a century.
The shop is run by the third generation of the Connolly family, husband and wife duo Fiona and Paul.

The business is among the Top 20 Independent Shops in Ireland, and is now competing with 19 other businesses across the country for the top prize.
Co-owner Fiona Connolly says the key is to put customers first.
