A Cavan woman has had no access to her home for the last two nights because of roadworks.
Ann Gargan from Kingscourt told the Joe Finnegan Show this morning that the roadworks have been ongoing since last November.
A wind farm is being developed in the area and a new road is being installed to access the site.
She added that 9km of road is currently being developed from Corlea to Kingscourt town and as a direct result, access to her house was blocked.
Ann said that if emergency services were required in the locality over the last couple of nights, they would not have been able to access the area.
"There has been no consultation," she added.
"Furthermore the road opening licence wasn't actually adhered to under the terms and conditions that it was received in.
"From the November 2021, the road works started and the road has been closed constantly.
"The licence was granted on the condition that the road was accessible from 5pm to 8am."
