A local TD says the Children's Disability Network Team in Cavan and Monaghan is operating at a crisis level.
Waiting lists for assessments of needs have made headlines in recent weeks, with figures showing 8.900 children are waiting on an assessment.
7,000 of those have been waiting for at least 3 months.

Speaking in the Dáil, he called on the Department to intervene urgently to ensure children are not left waiting for essential assessments.
In response, Minister of State at the Department of Children, Hildegarde Naughton, admitted the waiting times are a problem, and work is ongoing to continue recruitment,
