It may only be January but you are being urged to check your Passport to make sure your passport is in date.
That's the message from Brian "Beano" Clerkin, who is a candidate in the upcoming local election for Fianna Fáil in the Monaghan Municipal District area.
Brian says you should check your passport before you make any bookings. He says the Passport Service is expecting another busy year and he is encouraging anyone who is considering travelling to check that their passport is in date immediately, and if they need to renew their passport or apply for the first time, to use Passport Online.
Brian says this month the travel companies offer some amazing deals especially for families but his advice is always to check your passport before you book. The local election candidate says its important to have a look now and be prepared for upcoming holidays for the year ahead.
