Cllr Craig Lovett will step away from politics come the next election.
The Fianna Fáil Councillor has decided not to contest the upcoming local elections.

Cllr Lovett was elected five years ago for the first time in count five in 2019 with 1,290 first preference votes. A convention will take place in the coming weeks among Fianna Fáil to decide who will stand in the Kilnaleck native’s place.
